The Orthodox icon of the Resurrection does not show the empty tomb but what happened before it: Christ descends into Hades, breaks its gates and raises Adam and Eve from their tombs, and with them all the righteous. The Greek name Anastasis means Resurrection. This is the icon of Pascha, the greatest Christian feast, and its message is that death no longer has the last word.
Christ in white stands on the broken gates of Hades, which have fallen in the shape of a cross, with keys and chains scattered around them. With his left hand he raises Adam, and with his right Eve. Behind them stand the righteous and the prophets, and above them Η ΑΝΑΣΤΑΣΙΣ and IC XC are written in gold. The scene is on a cut-out mounted over the wooden board, with rocks rising on both sides.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
