Saint Alexandra the Empress was the wife of the Roman emperor Diocletian, one of the fiercest persecutors of Christians. Watching the suffering and steadfastness of Saint George the Great Martyr, she openly confessed her faith in Christ before the emperor and the court, and was herself condemned to death. The faithful pray to her for firmness in faith and for the courage to speak the truth when it is hard.
She is shown as an empress, with a crown on her head and a red cloak over a pale blue gown. In her right hand she holds a cross, the sign of martyrdom, and her left palm is open in confession of faith. The inscription Η ΑΓΙΑ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΑ (Saint Alexandra) is written in red. The board is arched, the field recessed and gilded, and the image is on a cut-out mounted in that field.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
