The Last Supper is the final meal that the Lord Jesus Christ shared with His twelve apostles on the eve of His Passion, on Holy Thursday. In this icon Christ is at the center, blessing with His right hand, while the young apostle John the Theologian, the beloved disciple, rests upon His chest. All the apostles are gathered around the oval table, and in the foreground Judas is seen reaching toward the common dish. On the table are bread, wine in pitchers, and the chalice - signs of the Holy Mystery of Communion that the Lord established at that time. The Greek inscription "Ο ΜΥΣΤΙΚΟΣ ΔΕΙΠΝΟΣ" means "The Mystical (Last) Supper." In the background are city buildings joined by a red drapery and a domed chamber above the Savior.
The Last Supper is one of the most significant feast icons because it depicts the establishment of the Holy Liturgy and of Communion. Before it the faithful pray for a blessing upon the table, for the unity of the family, and for a worthy approach to the cup of the Lord. Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
