Saint Paisios of Mount Athos (1924-1994) is one of the most venerated saints of recent times, a monk who spent most of his life in silence and prayer on the Holy Mountain of Athos. He became known for his gift of discernment, his deep humility, and his love for every person, which is why thousands of pilgrims came to him for comfort and counsel. In this icon he is depicted as an elderly monk with a gentle gaze and a gray beard, wearing a black robe and a veiled skoufos (monastic cap), holding a prayer rope in his crossed hands, with a small cross on his chest - a sign of unceasing prayer. The Greek inscription Ο ΑΓΙΟΣ ΠΑΪΣΙΟΣ Ο ΑΓΙΟΡΕΙΤΗΣ means "Saint Paisios the Athonite," that is, of Mount Athos. The gold background and the peaceful expression on his face evoke his inner stillness and closeness to God.
The faithful pray to Saint Paisios for peace of soul, for strength in times of trial, for healing, and for true counsel in difficult life decisions. The icon finds its place in the holy corner of the home, on a home iconostasis, or in a prayer nook, as a quiet reminder of patience and surrender to God. His feast day is celebrated on July 12. Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
