Saint Constantine the Great (272-337) was a Roman emperor who, through the Edict of Milan in 313, ended the persecution of Christians once and for all and granted freedom to the faith. Before a decisive battle he beheld in the sky the sign of the honorable cross and the words "In this sign, conquer," and from that day he carried the cross as a mark of faith and victory - which is exactly how we see him on this icon, with a cross in his right hand. He convened the First Ecumenical Council in Nicaea in 325, where the Creed (Symbol of Faith) was established, and he raised a new capital - Constantinople. He is shown in a crown and an imperial robe adorned with pearls and jewels, as the equal-to-the-apostles ruler who opened the doors for Christianity. The Greek inscription "Ο ΑΓΙΟΣ ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΣ" means "Saint Constantine."

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
