Saint Alexander was the Archbishop (Patriarch) of Constantinople and one of the defenders of the Orthodox faith during the Church's struggle against the Arian heresy. On this icon he is shown as an elderly hierarch with a long gray beard, in red-orange episcopal vestments richly adorned with crosses (polystavrion) and with an omophorion around his shoulders. In his hands he holds an open scroll with a Greek prayer text - "Πάλιν καὶ πολλάκις σοὶ προσπίπτομεν καὶ σοῦ δεόμεθα, ἀγαθέ", which means "Again and many times we fall down before You and pray to You, O Good One". The Greek inscription beside the halo, "Ο ΑΓΙΟΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΣ" (Saint Alexander), confirms his name. The golden halo and the calm, dignified face convey the image of a faithful shepherd and man of prayer.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
