Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, Archbishop of the city of Myra in Lycia, is one of the most venerated saints of the Orthodox Church. He became renowned for his mercy, his secret help to the poor, and the many miracles that earned him the title of Wonderworker. On this icon he is depicted as an elder bishop with a gray beard, wearing a gold omophorion adorned with crosses over a red vestment, blessing with his right hand. At the foot of the icon a sailing ship with white sails is painted, recalling his protection over seafarers, travelers, and all who are in distress. The Greek inscription Ο ΑΓΙΟΣ ΝΙΚΟΛΑΟΣ means "Saint Nicholas".
The faithful pray to Saint Nicholas for protection on their journeys, for help in times of trouble, for their children, and for peace in the family and home. The icon finds its place in the home's icon corner, on a family iconostasis, or in a prayer nook. It makes a treasured gift for St. Nicholas Day (December 19), celebrated in Serbian homes as one of the most common patron saint feasts (krsna slava), as well as for a baptism, name day, or wedding. Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
