The holy apostle and evangelist John the Theologian is one of the twelve apostles of Christ and the author of the fourth Gospel. He was the youngest among the apostles and the Lord's 'beloved disciple' - the only one who remained by the cross; from the cross Christ entrusted His Mother to him, saying 'Behold your mother.' For the depth and loftiness of his theology he received the name 'the Theologian,' and his Gospel begins with the words 'In the beginning was the Word.' Exiled to the island of Patmos, there he received and wrote down the Revelation. On this icon he is depicted in advanced old age, holding an open Gospel, while the Greek inscription 'Ο ΑΓΙΟΣ ΙΩ Ο ΘΕΟΛΟΓΟΣ' (Saint John the Theologian) names him as 'Saint John the Theologian' - the name by which the Church remembers him.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
