Saint Eugenia of Rome is a virgin-martyr of the early Christian Church. According to tradition, she was the daughter of a prominent Roman dignitary, and after embracing the Christian faith she took up the path of monastic life and asceticism, becoming renowned for her purity and prayer. For her faithfulness to Christ she suffered a martyr's death. In this icon she is depicted in a dark green monastic robe, holding the cross of martyrdom in her right hand, with the open palm of her left hand raised - a sign of bearing witness to the faith. The Greek inscription "Η ΑΓΙΑ ΕΥΓΕΝΙΑ" means "Saint Eugenia", and the background is gold, with a subtle antiqued appearance.
The faithful pray to her for steadfastness in faith, purity of heart, and perseverance through trials. The icon looks beautiful in the icon corner of a home, on a home iconostasis, or in a prayer nook. Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
