The icon depicts Saint Emperor Constantine and his mother, Empress Helena, together holding the Precious Cross of the Lord. According to tradition, Empress Helena found in Jerusalem the Cross on which Christ was crucified, and so both saints are always shown in iconography beside the Cross. They are dressed in sumptuous imperial robes with crowns and halos, and between them stands the dark wooden Cross. At the top are the red Greek inscriptions Ο ΑΓΙΟΣ ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΣ and Η ΑΓΙΑ ΕΛΕΝΗ - Saint Constantine and Saint Helena. Saint Constantine is the ruler who gave Christianity its freedom and ended the persecution of the faithful.
Saints Constantine and Helena are venerated as Equals-to-the-Apostles - those who laboured for the faith like the apostles themselves. Among the Serbian people they are also a frequent patron-saint feast (slava), so this icon is precious for the feast table and the family iconostasis. Before it the faithful pray for firmness in faith, for wise leadership and for the strength to seek and find what is holy.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
