The Greek inscription Η ΑΓΙΑ ΑΝΝΑ stands on either side of the halo. Saint Anne wears a deep red maphorion and the young Mother of God a blue one, pressed against her cheek - the same gesture of closeness that on icons of the Theotokos is called Tenderness, only one generation earlier. In her right hand Anne holds a white lily, the flower that in iconography stands for purity and that is most often associated with the one who would become the Mother of God.
Anne and her husband Joachim were long without children, a public disgrace in their day, and only after years of prayer was a daughter, Mary, born to them. For centuries this has therefore been the icon of those who wait: couples who cannot conceive, parents anxious for a child already born, and anyone praying for something that is not happening quickly. The piece is made with a deep red border that lifts it from the wall and holds the eye inside the field.

- Lithograph print. The icon is printed in high resolution onto the prepared MDF base, with faithful colours and detail.
- Hand-finishing. Every piece is finished and checked by hand before the final coat.
- Eco-friendly varnish. The final coat protects against moisture and gives lasting durability - the colours stay vivid for years.
- Certificate and hook. The back carries the workshop's mark and a hook ready for hanging. Every icon comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
Payment
We accept payment by bank transfer or cash on delivery. Card payment is coming soon.
Returns
