St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki (3rd-4th century) - great martyr, myrrh-streamer, protector of the city of Thessaloniki. A military commander who publicly confessed his faith in Christ and was martyred for it. Holy myrrh flows from his relics in Thessaloniki to this day - a phenomenon that has drawn pilgrims for centuries.
His feast day is November 8 (Mitrovdan) - one of the most celebrated Serbian krsna slava feasts (the family patron saint feast). The icon is traditionally placed in the homes of families celebrating Mitrovdan, and given as a wedding gift or keepsake for soldiers and servicemen.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
