The icon depicts Jesus Christ Pantocrator (the Almighty), the Lord shown blessing with His right hand while holding the open Gospel in His left. Beside the figure are the letters IC XC - an abbreviation of the name Jesus Christ, while the golden halo with the cross bears the inscription "Ο ΩΝ" (O ON), meaning "He Who Is". On the pages of the open book are the words in Greek: "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, though he may die, shall live" (Gospel of John 11:25-26). This is the most frequently depicted image of Christ in Orthodoxy - at once the Judge and Ruler of the world, yet also the merciful Savior who calls the faithful to eternal life.
Before the image of the Pantocrator, the faithful pray for faith, forgiveness, health and the protection of their home, lighting an oil lamp as a sign of unceasing prayer and light before the Lord. Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
