This icon is made in the shape of a book - two-sided, with a metal clasp and binding, it folds and fits easily in a bag, a small case, or on a journey. At the centre is the image of the Lord Jesus Christ, the One whose name the faithful call upon at every hour. The book form is not accidental: an icon is "the Gospel in colour" - what Holy Scripture speaks in words, the icon proclaims in the image.
This icon was made for those who are always on the move - for travellers, drivers, pilgrims, students far from home - so they can carry their prayer corner with them. Open it when the hour of prayer comes, fold it and keep it safe when it is time to move on. A small form, yet the full image of the Lord.
