The feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross commemorates the finding of the Cross on which the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified. In the 4th century, the holy Empress St. Helen, mother of Emperor Constantine, went to Jerusalem and after a long search found the buried Holy Cross. When it was raised before the multitude of the people, all cried out "Lord, have mercy."
The cross, once an instrument of the most shameful death, became the sign of victory and salvation - a weapon of faith before which every evil retreats. The feast is celebrated on September 27th (Krstovdan) and is kept as a day of fasting. Before this icon, the faithful pray for the strength of the Holy Cross, for the protection of their home, and for victory over temptations.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
