St. Romanos the Melodist (the Sweet Singer) lived in the 6th century. According to tradition, he was at first a weak singer and reader, mocked for his lack of talent. But one night, on the eve of Christmas, the Most Holy Mother of God appeared to him and gave him a scroll to eat - and from that moment he received a wondrous gift of chanting and hymnography.
That very night he sang his famous kontakion for the Nativity of Christ: "The Virgin today gives birth to the Transcendent One." He composed thousands of church hymns and is considered the father of Orthodox hymnography. His feast day is October 14th, the feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God. Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
