This icon unites the two most venerated holy warriors of Orthodoxy: St. George the Victorious and St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki. Both were young Roman military commanders who chose a martyr's death rather than renounce Christ, and both are depicted on horseback - George most often on a white horse, Demetrius on a red one.
Together they are an image of the soldiery of faith - courage that does not fear even death for the sake of truth. Djurdjevdan (6 May) and Mitrovdan (8 November) are among the most common krsna slava feast days in the Serbian people. Before their icon the faithful pray for courage, protection and strength in life's struggles.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
