St. Dionysius, Archbishop of Aegina and patron of the island of Zakynthos (1547-1622), is remembered for an act that the human mind finds hard to accept. When the man who had killed his own brother, fleeing from pursuit, sought refuge in the monastery, the saint received him and hid him - and when he realised whom he had hidden, he did not hand him over, but forgave him and kept silent. For this reason the Orthodox world remembers him as the saint of forgiveness that goes all the way.
Born into a noble family, he became a monk young and was made a hierarch, but longed for solitude and returned to Zakynthos as a humble monk. His relics remain whole on the island to this day, where the faithful turn to him for peace in the family, for the strength to forgive, and for reconciliation between those at odds. His feast day is 17 December.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
