St. Athanasius the Great (c. 296 to 373), Archbishop of Alexandria, is one of the greatest teachers of the Church and a pillar of Orthodoxy. At a time when the Arian heresy - the teaching that Christ is not true God - had flooded almost the entire Christian world, including the imperial courts, Athanasius unwaveringly defended the truth that the Son is consubstantial with the Father. He was exiled five times for this, yet he did not yield; after him the saying "Athanasius against the world" has endured.
His witness is built into the very Creed that we profess to this day. He was also a friend and biographer of St. Anthony the Great. His feast days are 2 May and 18 January. The faithful pray to him for steadfastness in faith and for courage to persevere in the truth.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
