Saint Paraskevi (Petka) is one of the most beloved women saints among the Serbian people - a protectress whom the faithful invoke in illness and trouble. On this icon she is shown in dark monastic robes, holding a cross in her right hand - the sign of martyric witness - and in her left a bowl in which eyes are depicted. This motif recalls the old tradition by which Saint Paraskevi has long been invoked as a healer, especially of the eyes and of sight. Beside the figure is the Greek inscription Η ΑΓΙΑ ΠΑΡΑΣΚΕΥΗ, according to the iconographic canon.
The icon is made in our workshop in Petrovcic, near Belgrade. The image is applied to a papyrus-look surface with curled, timeworn edges, and mounted on a dark-toned MDF panel with metal studs at the corners. On the back there is a jute cord for hanging and a certificate of authenticity by Orthodox Corner. Available in three sizes. A certificate accompanies every piece.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
