Archangel Gabriel is one of the seven archangels and is the heavenly annunciator - the one who brings mankind God's greatest tidings. He announced to Zechariah the birth of St. John the Forerunner, and to the Most Holy Mother of God brought the glad tidings that she would bear the Son of God. His name means "Strength of God".
In the Orthodox faith Gabriel is venerated as the protector of messengers and bearers of joyful news. He is most often depicted holding a lily - a symbol of purity - or with a herald's staff. Before his icon the faithful pray for good news, for the blessing of the family and for joy in the home. He is celebrated at the Synaxis of the Archangels (November 21) and especially on the feast of the Annunciation.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
