The Image Not Made by Hands (the Holy Mandylion) is, according to tradition, an icon that came into being without a human hand - the Lord Himself impressed His face upon a cloth and sent it to King Abgar of Edessa, who received healing from it. For this reason it is regarded as the first icon and the foundation of all iconography: if God Himself gave His own image, then the image may be painted. In this icon the cloth is held by two angels, and the face of Christ is set in a cruciform halo bearing the letter Ω.
The feast of the Translation of the Image Not Made by Hands is celebrated on 29 August, and for centuries the icon was carried as protection - on banners, in homes and on journeys. Before it the faithful pray for healing, for the protection of the home and for the keeping of the faith within the house. It finds its place above the door, in the icon corner and in the prayer nook.

- Certificate and hook. The back carries the workshop's mark and a hook ready for hanging. Every icon comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
Payment
