The Holy Apostle Thomas was one of the twelve apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Christian tradition he is remembered for at first not believing in the Resurrection, asking to touch the wounds of the Savior with his own hands - hence the expression "doubting Thomas" - only to exclaim, upon seeing the risen Christ, the words "My Lord and my God". After the descent of the Holy Spirit he preached the Gospel far to the East, all the way to India, where he suffered for the faith of Christ. On this icon he is depicted as a youthful, dark-haired saint in a red cloak draped over a dark robe, holding a scroll in his hand - a sign of apostolic preaching and the witness of truth. The Greek inscription "Ο ΑΓΙΟΣ ΘΩΜΑΣ" means "Saint Thomas".
The faithful pray to the Holy Apostle Thomas for the strengthening of faith in moments of doubt and wavering, for firmness in the truth, and for protection while traveling. Thomas Sunday (Antipascha), the first Sunday after Easter, is dedicated to him. Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
