The Crucifixion of the Lord is the central scene of the Christian faith - the moment in which the Lord Jesus Christ, through His death on the cross, redeems the human race. On this icon Christ is shown crucified with His head bowed, and above the cross stands the Greek inscription Η ΣΤΑΥΡΩΣΙΣ (The Crucifixion). To the left is the Most Holy Theotokos, and to the right the Apostle John the Theologian, the beloved disciple to whom Christ, from the cross, entrusted His Mother. In the background the walls of Jerusalem come into view, while at the foot of the cross lies the skull of the forefather Adam. According to tradition, Golgotha is the place where the first man was buried, so that the blood of Christ flowing down redeems the entire human race from ancestral sin.
This scene lies at the heart of Holy Week and is commemorated on Great Friday, the day of Christ's passion. Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
