The icon of the Crucifixion of the Lord depicts the central moment of the Christian faith - the Lord Jesus Christ upon the cross. On the left stands the Most Holy Theotokos in a red maphorion, on the right Saint John the Theologian, the only one of the disciples who remained beneath the cross. It was to these two that the words were spoken from the cross: "Woman, behold your son" and "Behold your mother". Beneath the foot of the cross a skull is painted - by tradition that of Adam, for Golgotha is believed to be the place where the forefather was buried, so that the blood from the cross falls directly upon his bones. At the top stands the Greek inscription Η ΣΤΑΥΡΩΣΙΣ (The Crucifixion), and on the tablet above the head ΙΝΒΙ.
This piece is made with a golden cross in relief rising from a dark, antiqued base, so the light upon it shifts with the angle of view. The Crucifixion is the icon of Great Friday and an icon before which one keeps silence - in the home its place is the place of honour in the icon corner, above the iconostasis or in the prayer nook.

- Certificate and hook. The back carries the workshop's mark and a hook ready for hanging. Every icon comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
Payment
We accept payment by bank transfer or cash on delivery. Card payment is coming soon.
Returns
