Archangel Michael stands in Orthodox tradition as commander of the heavenly powers, defender of the faith and escort of souls on their path to eternity. His name means "Who is like God?" - the question with which he cast the fallen angel into the abyss, according to tradition. On the icon he is depicted as a crowned heavenly commander, in bust, with outstretched wings and a spear in hand. The gold background gives the icon an impression of heavenly light, while the rustic MDF base with irregular edges reinforces its ancient appearance. The Greek inscription Ο ΑΡΧ ΜΙΧΑΗΛ identifies the Archangel.
The Church celebrates the Synaxis of the Holy Bodiless Powers led by Archangel Michael on November 8 (November 21 by the new calendar). This is one of the icons most often placed at the entrance to a home - as the heavenly guardian of the threshold.

Delivery
We ship all orders within Serbia only. Delivery takes 10-15 business days from order confirmation - this includes crafting, packaging and transport.
Icons are sent by courier, with proof of delivery. Packaging is twofold - an inner layer with protective foam and an outer cushioning layer for safe transport.
